Meet Our Team
Jenni Peters
Principal Teacher and Owner
Jenni's love for dancing began at the age of 3 when she joined classes at Suzanne School of Dancing in Hampshire. She trained for 15 years in ISTD and RAD Ballet, as well as tap and modern, and enjoyed dancing at the British Arts Awards National Competitions in London. At 18 she left home to work abroad for Walt Disney World, where she met her husband and moved to Scotland. On arriving in Scotland Jenni continued to develop her dance teacher training, taking up a post as a Dance Coach with Leisure and Culture Dundee. Jenni had grown up always wanting to be a dance teacher, and so on moving to Blairgowrie, she established Strathmore School of Dance (then “Let's Dance”) and began her Diploma in Dance Education with the ISTD. Jenni has now owned the dance school for over 6 years, growing the school from 40 to over 200 pupils, who have taken part in National competitions, performed at local events and shows and undertaken workshops all over the UK.

Angela Boshoff - Dance and Musical Theatre Teacher
Angela started dancing at the age of 3 and has never stopped since. At the age of 18 Angela attended Bird Theatre Arts where she gained a BA(Hons) Degree in Dance and Theatre Performance, as well as regulated teaching qualifications in Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap Dance with the ISTD.
After graduating college Angela spent 12 years performing overseas in Musical Theatre and cabaret. In 2005 Angela was promoted to Dance Captain with Carnival Cruise Lines where she managed the entertainment team on board various ships. In 2014 Angela retired as a professional dancer in order to start a family with her husband Robert. At this time Angela returned to her love of teaching full time, and accepted a position as head of Theatre Dance in a well respected Dance Studio in Pretoria, South Africa. During her time here Angela further enhanced her qualifications with a Licentiate in Modern Theatre dance allowing her to teach at vocational level. Since relocating back to Scotland in 2020 Angela has been teaching at various locations including the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior musical theatre program. "It has been a huge pleasure teaching at Strathmore School of Dance since 2020. It is such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Principal Jenni offers a wonderfully inclusive environment where all performers have a chance to shine." |
